Managing the MariaDB Account and Database
- Log on to QuTS hero as administrator.

Go to Control Panel > Applications > MariaDB.
The MariaDB app opens.
- Click Account and Database.

Perform any of the following:

Reset the root password
Warning:Resetting the root password will restart the MariaDB database.
Important:To protect your NAS, the system will automatically detect weak MariaDB server root passwords and require you to change the password. Follow the on-screen instructions to change the root password.

Click Reset.
The Reset Root Password screen appears.

Specify a new password.
Note:-
The password must contain 8 to 64 bytes of UTF-8 characters.

The password cannot be "admin" or blank.

Confirm the password.

Click Next.
A confirmation message appears.

Click Yes.
The root password is changed.
Reset user passwords

Click Reset.
The Reset User Passwords screen appears.

Enter the root password.
-
Click Next.
-
Select a user account.
-
Specify a new password.
Note:-
The password must contain 8 to 64 bytes of UTF-8 characters.

The password cannot be "admin" or blank.

Confirm the password.

Click Apply.
Reinitialize the database
Warning:Reinitializing the database will delete all data in the database.

Click Reinitialize.
A confirmation message appears.

Click Yes.
The MariaDB Setup Wizard screen appears.
