Configuring CPU and Memory Resources

  1. Open Ubuntu Linux Station.
  2. Configure the CPU resources.
    1. Under Resources, click .

      The CPU Resource Allocation window appears.

    2. Configure the CPU allocation method.

      Setting

      Description

      Shared

      Shares the specified CPU resources with other applications.

      Dedicated

      Assign CPU resources specifically for this VM.
    3. Select a processor.
      Note:

      This setting is available only if your device supports more than one processor.

    4. Select the number of cores and threads.
    5. Click Apply.
    Important:

    You cannot configure shared and dedicated CPU resources for devices supporting less than four cores and eight threads.

  3. Specify the amount of memory required to run the OS.
  4. Click Apply.

Ubuntu Linux Station saves the CPU and memory resources.
