Searching files and folders

  1. Open Qfile Pro on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the app bar.

    The Device List window appears.

  3. Tap a QNAP device to select it.

    The Folders window appears.

  4. Tap on the app bar.

    The Search window appears.

  5. Specify any of the following fields:

    Field

    Steps

    Keyword

    1. Tap Keyword.

    2. Enter keywords.

      Keywords will be matched against the names of files and folders.

    Location

    1. Tap Location.

      The Please select the folder window appears.

    2. Use the breadcrumb navigation to select the parent folder.

    3. Tap the target folder.

      Tip:

      Tap to create a new folder.

    4. Tap Set Location.

    Type

    1. Tap Type.

    2. Specify the type of file or folder.

    Size

    1. Tap Size.

    2. Specify one of the following:

      • Is greater then

      • Is less then

    3. Specify the file size.

    4. Specify the unit of data size.

    Modified date

    1. Tap Modified date.

    2. Specify one of the following:

      • Any: Match files and folders that were modified on any date.

      • Is exactly: Match files and folders that were modified on the specified date.

      • Is before: Match files and folders that were modified before the specified date.

      • Is after: Match files and folders that were modified after the specified date.

      • Is Between: Match files and folders that were modified between the specified dates.

    3. Specify the date or dates.

    Owner/group

    1. Tap Owner/group.

    2. Specify one of the following:

      • Any: Search files and folders belonging to any system owner or group.

      • Owner: Search files and folders belonging to a specified system owner.

      • Group: Search files and folders belonging to a specified system group.

    3. Specify the owner or group name.
  6. Tap Search.

The Search Result window appears. Qfile Pro displays all files and folders that match the specified search options.
