Opening files and folders

  1. Open Qfile Pro on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the app bar.

    The Device List window appears.

  3. Tap a QNAP device to select it.

    The Folders window appears.

  4. Identify a file or folder, and then tap .

    The file and folder action menu opens.

  5. Tap Open.

One of the following happens depending on the file type:

  • Folders: Qfile Pro displays the folder's contents.

  • Photos: Qfile Pro displays the photo.

    Tip:

    • When viewing a photo, slide left and right to view previous and next photos.

    • Tap the 360° button to view the photo or video in 360° panoramic mode. This button can be enabled or disabled in Settings > Preferences. For details, see Preferences.

  • Videos: The Please select the video quality window opens. For details on playing back videos, see Playing back video files.

  • Documents: For certain types of text-based documents, a preview window opens.

  • Other file types: For types of files not supported by Qfile Pro, a menu appears allowing you to select an app to open the file.
