Configuring file synchronization
- Open Qfile Pro on your mobile device.

Tap .
The File Transfer window appears.

Tap Qsync.
The Select a NAS window appears.

Tap a QNAP device to select it.
The Add Paired Folders window appears.

Specify a folder on your QNAP device.

Tap Paired
Folder Paths > NAS
folder.
The Select NAS folder window appears.
- Navigate to the desired folder.
- Tap Set Location.

device.
Note:
Qfile Pro stores synchronized files and folders under the root Qfile Pro folder, which is a folder created when Qfile Pro is installed. The location of the root Qfile Pro folder depends on the operating system and storage architecture of your mobile device. The most common root Qfile Pro folders are as follows.

Tap Paired

The Select Device folder window appears.
- Navigate to the desired folder.
- Tap Set Location.
- Optional: Tap to create a folder.

Folder Paths > Device

Specify subfolders to
synchronize.
- Tap Selective sync.
- Tap to select a folder.
- Tap to deselect a folder.
- Tap Apply.
Selected folders are synchronized to the QNAP device.

Note:
General settings apply to file synchronization and automatic file uploads.

Use cellular data: When enabled, Qfile Pro uses cellular data to transfer files when Wi-Fi is not available.

Automatic file transfers only when charging: When enabled, Qfile Pro only transfers files when the mobile device is connected to a power source.

Allow background file transfers: When enabled, background tasks for transferring files are created and controlled by your mobile device's operating system.

Automatic synchronization: When enabled, Qfile Pro synchronizes files according to the specified time interval while Qfile Pro is running in the foreground.
Note:This option is only available on Android.

File conflict policy: Specify a file conflict policy.

Let me decide for each file: If there is a file conflict during file synchronization, Qfile Pro will display a File Conflict window allowing you to select a file conflict resolution option.

Keep both files. Rename the file on the NAS: If there is a file conflict during file synchronization, the NAS file is duplicated and renamed, and then the files are synchronized.

Keep both files. Rename the local file: If there is a file conflict during file synchronization, the local file is duplicated and renamed, and then the files are synchronized.

Replace the file on the NAS with the local file: If there is a file conflict during file synchronization, the NAS file is replaced with the local file.

Specify a File size
limit.
Files larger than the file size limit will not be synchronized.

Specify synchronization filter settings.
- Tap Filter settings.
- Optional: Tap to remove a file extension.
- Optional: Specify a file extension and tap to add it.
- Tap Save.
Files with extensions matching the file extensions added to filter settings are not synchronized.
- Optional: Enable Smart delete. For details on smart delete, see Smart delete.
- Optional: Specify the Device storage quota. If the size of the synchronized files on your mobile device exceeds the device storage quota, Qfile Pro stops synchronizing files.
- Tap Done.
Qfile Pro synchronizes files between the specified NAS folder and the specified local mobile device folder, and a synchronization task appears in File Transfer > Synchronization Tasks.
