Adding a QNAP device via a QNAP ID

Note:
  • myQNAPcloud must be set up for the QNAP device.

  • For details on removing or adding a QNAP ID, see Managing QNAP IDs.

  1. Open Qfile Pro on your mobile device.
  2. Tap on the app bar.

    The Device List window appears.

  3. Tap Add a QNAP Device.
  4. Tap Connect via myQNAPcloud.
  5. Select your QNAP account region.

    The Sign in QNAP ID window appears.

  6. Under Email address or phone number, specify the email address or phone number associated with the QNAP ID.
  7. Under Password, specify the password of the QNAP ID account.
  8. Tap Sign in.

    The Select a QNAP Device window appears.

  9. Tap a device.

    The device login window appears.

  10. Under NAS username, specify the username of the account.
  11. Optional: Enable Secure login (SSL).
  12. Optional: Tap More Options and enable Detect ports automatically.
    Note:

    Enabling this setting allows Qfile Pro to detect ports using the myQNAPcloud name or use the default ports.

  13. Tap Login.

    The password confirmation window appears.

  14. Under NAS Password, specify the password for the user account.
  15. Optional: Enable Remember Password.
  16. Tap Login.

The device is added to the Device List and becomes the current device.
