Configuring the Network Environment of a Trap Instance
You can configure up to four VLANs per trap instance.
- Open ADRA NDR.
- Go to Policy Management > Traps.
- Identify a trap.
- Identify a trap instance.

enable the trap instance.
Note:
To configure the network environment of a trap instance, the trap instance must be enabled.

Enable a VLAN.
- Under Network, identify a VLAN.
- Click .
- Optional:
Configure an enabled VLAN.

Click .
The Edit Network window opens.
- Click to assign a new randomly generated MAC address.
- Click IPv4.

settings.

Obtain IP address settings automatically via DHCP
If the network supports DHCP, the device automatically obtains the IP address and network settings.
Use static IP address
Manually assign a static IP address. You must specify the following information:

Fixed IP address

Subnet mask

Default gateway

If the network supports DHCP, the device automatically obtains the DNS server address.
Use static DNS server address
Manually assign the IP addresses for the primary and secondary DNS servers.
