Adding a Protection Rule

  1. Open ADRA NDR.
  2. Go to Policy Management > Rules.
  3. Click Add Rule.
  4. Specify a rule name.
  5. Specify the IP addresses to apply.

    Option

    Description

    All

    The rule applies to all IP addresses.

    IP address

    The rule applies to one or more specified IP addresses.

    Note:

    Examples of valid entries:

    • IP address: 192.168.1.10

    • IP range: 192.168.3.1-192.168.3.100

    • CIDR IP notation: 192.168.2.1/24

    • Multiple entries (separated by semicolons): 192.168.1.10; 192.168.3.1-192.168.3.100; 192.168.2.1/24

  6. Select a protection policy.

    Policy

    Description

    Strict Protection

    Automatically quarantines all potential attacks.

    Advanced Protection

    Automatically quarantines medium-risk and high-risk attacks.

    Basic Protection

    Automatically quarantines high-risk attacks only.

    Risk Inform

    Monitors and notifies the user of all potential attacks.

  7. Click Save.

    ADRA NDR adds the rule to the list.

  8. Optional: Click and drag to change the rule priority.
    Note:

    Rules higher on the list have higher priority.

  9. Optional: Click to activate the rule.
