Verification Methods
QNAP Authenticator supports multiple verification methods. You can enable multiple methods and then choose one of them to verify your identity upon login.
Some verification methods require a network connection. You need the myQNAPcloud service and a QNAP ID to access the NAS via the Internet. We recommend setting up myQNAPcloud and creating a QNAP ID before enabling 2-step verification or passwordless login if you want to remotely access your NAS.

2-step verification |
Enter a dynamic security code that is generated by your authenticator app and is automatically renewed every 30 seconds. You must enter a security code before it expires. This verification method uses the time-based one-time password (TOTP) encryption algorithm and does not require a network connection.
